Cambridge and Oxford Admissions Testing
Depending on their chosen institution and course, candidates may need to take an admissions test as part of their application (some joint degree courses require candidates to take two tests).

Cambridge and Oxford work closely with universities, governments and employers to enhance their selection processes and offers a range of tests to support selection and recruitment for universities, governments and employers around the world.

  • cover skills essential for higher education, including problem solving, critical thinking, written communication and the application of subject knowledge.
Important registration information…

When you register for the exam you must provide us with the following information:
  • your name, gender, date of birth and UCAS number exactly as they have been entered on your UCAS application
  • the name of your university/ies, course/s and course code/s
Important note STEP Mathematics: If you have special requirements which require access arrangements (extra time, modified papers etc.) you must complete the relevant information on your application form. Any access arrangements which require modified papers MUST be requested before Thursday 18 April.
